Overview

LMI is seeking an experienced Human Capital Consultant to evaluate and identify human capital inefficiencies, recommend solutions, develop Human Resource (HR) strategies and models, to provide advice and develop and implement HR policies and best practices. This position allows for partial telework with the ability to work virtually and travel to client site in DMV as required.

As a Human Capital Consultant, you will be responsible for helping leaders, teams and organizations imagine, connect, and leverage strategy, policy and technology to empower HR to own and solve Federal Protective Services issues affecting the business, the workforce, and how work gets done. You should be analytically minded and have excellent interpersonal skills. A skilled HR consultant should be able to quickly identify workforce issues and recommend effective solutions.

This position will require a background investigation and candidate must be able to obtain DHS Suitability.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities may include:

  • Meeting with the HR and management teams to define the company's HR issues, goals, and requirements.
  • Conducting research to identify workforce issues or inefficiencies.
  • Developing HR strategies and company-specific models.
  • Recommending solutions and providing advice on HR policies, procedures, and tools.
  • Overseeing the implementation and integration of new policies, procedures, tools, and strategies.
  • Monitoring and reviewing human capital analytics to evaluate the efficacy of new policies.
  • Generating analytic reports and presentations for feedback to management.
  • Ensuring that the operations and activities of the workforce are efficient and in the best interest of the company goals.
  • Assisting with the recruitment and training of new employees.
  • Keeping abreast of industry trends, tools, practices, and advancements in technology.
  • Continuously looking for opportunities to provide additional support to the client and identifying opportunities to expand services.


Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or similar.
  • SENIOR LEVEL: Minimum 10 (ten) years of experience with HR consulting.
  • Experience in the Federal Hiring process.
  • Experience in developing and implementing HR policies.
  • Experience in evaluating and identifying human capital inefficiencies, and recommending solutions.
  • Strong facilitation and influencing skills and the ability to build relationships and interface with executive and senior level government leaders.
  • Self-starter capable of bringing clarity to and taking action in ambiguous situations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills supporting executive engagement.
  • Experience growing project work through identifying client needs, writing proposals, developing white papers and capabilities briefings.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Public Trust clearance.
  • Ability to work virtually and travel to client site in DMV as required.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
  • Experience consulting in a federal law enforcement agency.
