The Opportunity
We are looking for a part-time Paid Social Media Intern for our Paid Social Media department. You will learn the HSN Paid Social Media functions through the guidance of the team. Partner with a mentor and the Paid Social Media staff to create eCommerce social media advertisements across popular platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and TikTok.

Social media is one of the biggest media in the advertising industry to date, and the HSN Paid Social Media team navigates, strategizing, and reaching new and core customers through the social media platforms they know and love --- Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and TikTok. This team collaborates with platform representatives and our teams (including Digital, Organic Social, and Content Teams) to create awareness, website traffic, and sales for HSN.
HSN takes shoppers on a journey - embracing the new, exploring untrodden paths, and bringing shoppers a unique perspective that enriches their lives. We offer a curated assortment of exclusive products and top brand names in health and beauty, jewelry, home/lifestyle, fashion/accessories, and electronics and incorporates entertainment, personalities and industry experts to provide a unique shopping experience.
Your Impact
- Create ways to use new Paid Social media features and ad formats to keep our ads fresh, on trend, and to push our Paid Social creative forward.
- Gather and analyze social media and internal data to draw conclusions on how customers interact between different advertising strategies and social media platforms.
- Learn how to plan, create, QA, and build social media ads across all social media platforms.
- Help prepare planning and routing of social media ads.
- Learn how to build audience files to be leverage in audience targeting within each social media platform.
- You will learn about new platform updates and share-out's from Meta, TikTok, and Pinterest representatives.
- You will help with long-term projects and beta tests as they occur.
What You Bring
- HSN will consider students who have completed at least four semesters of college in the following majors: Marketing, Communications, Advertising, and Broadcast.
- Experience in the following preferred: Retail and Social Media Business Management.
Remote work is not permitted in NYC at this time.
