The Human Resources department leads, partners and carries out operational and strategic activities aligned with the College’s direction to attract, retain and inspire a high performing workforce. We deliver the highest quality customer service, guidance and expertise to our diverse staff and applicants.
As HR/Payroll Clerk, you will be responsible for maintaining human resources files and records and acting as the main point of contact for records requests. You will also support the process to transition to electronic file formats and provide front desk coverage for Human Resources as needed.
Job Summary:
- Creates and maintains human resources and payroll files, ensuring that files adhere to local, state, and federal regulations regarding records retention.
- Acts as the main contact for requests to access files following all College, confidentiality, and union requirements.
- Enters employee and payroll data into various databases; processes human resources and payroll files for transition into electronic record keeping systems.
- Processes and responds to basic employee information requests for human resources and payroll.
- Provides front desk support; answers phone calls and provides supports and walk-in services.
Schedule: Monday through Friday during standard business hours. Work is performed on site at the Gresham, OR campus.

- High school diploma or GED
- One (1) year of experience in an office setting, including data entry

Working Conditions and Important Information
Working Conditions:
Work is typically performed in a normal office environment while sitting at a computer terminal. Visual eye strain and repetitive hand/wrist motion for data entry and keyboarding functions.
Salary:
Initial salary placement will be based on years of relevant full-time equivalent experience at the sole discretion of the College, per the guidelines in the applicable Handbook or Collective Bargaining Agreement. Please include all relevant full and part-time experience in your application that you want the College to review towards potential placement. Hired employees will not have an opportunity to update past experience or appeal initial placement after the time of hire.
