Thompson Pipe Group has an immediate opening for experienced HR/Office Admin in Palatka. Hourly Payrate of $25.00 to $28.00 per hour. We are one of the largest manufacturers of concrete pressure pipe in North America and offer great growth opportunity for individuals who desire to work hard and develop a career.

Essential Job Functions:

These are functions a qualified incumbent or applicant must be able to perform with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Assist with day-to-day operation of the HR functions and duties
• Coordinate communication with candidates and schedule interviews vis Jobvite applicant tracking system.
• Process documentation and prepare reports relating to personnel activities (staffing, recruitment, training, etc)
• Performs various routine clerical tasks such as typing, data entry, production reporting, document sorting and mailing.
• Greets visitors in a professional and courteous manner and notifies the appropriate party of visitor’s arrival.
• Works with production departments to determine raw material needs and places appropriate purchase orders.
• Receives purchase requisitions from various departments with the plant and places corresponding purchase orders.
• Process receiving of all incoming purchases.
• Arranges, coordinates, and dispatches all outbound shipments. Processes shipping paperwork accurately and efficiently.
• Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• The minimum education required for this position is High School Diploma or equivalent.
• The minimum related experience required for this position is typically 1 to 3 years of experience of relevant work experience in a manufacturing office environment. Has proficient understanding of principles in one or more functions. Minimum of 2 years HR administration experience.
• This position requires good written and verbal communication skills. It also requires excellent calculator, data entry, PC/computer. Must also have excellent organizational skills and be able to multi-task.
• This position requires the incumbent to regularly utilize written and verbal communication skills, including active listening

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to sit for long periods of time
• Must be able to lift up to 20lbs.

Work Environment

• Environment is typically general office, though the incumbent may spend short periods in the manufacturing environments with exposure including but not limited to dust, dirt, high noise levels and variations in temperature.
• Office Equipment including computer, calculator, telephone, photocopier, and fax machine.
