Job Description
OVERVIEW
Provide leadership and oversight to the execution of the HR Strategy by applying technology / process to solve and support business requirements. Manage a team of people who will be responsible for defining, developing, testing, analyzing and maintaining the HR systems and future modules.
RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned)
1. Maximize the development of internal talent through regular performance coaching, performance reviews, and presenting development opportunities.
2. Align area objectives with the strategic goals of HR.
3. Monitor annual budgets for assigned area of responsibility. Assist with the development and completion of the annual department budget.
4. Maintain/oversee for each area of HR the needed work / schedule to complete monthly/quarterly/annual process completion. (I.e., Monthly benefit eligibility, merit increases, Open Enrollment, Year End)
5. Establish / maintain relationships with HR leaders / staff in the designated areas of support. Align quarterly on any business priority changes and align work/resources as needed.
6. Establish / maintain relationships with IT leaders / staff. Prioritize the HR work for the appropriate IT team. Participate in the IT planning process.
7. Lead multiple cross functional projects or participate as a core team member as assigned.
8. Research, recommend and implement process improvements to better utilize HR systems and/or enhance existing business processes.
9. Maintain and support HR systems based on operation and regulatory requirements through the review, testing and implementation of upgrades, enhancements, business requests and patches. Responsible for all system configurations. Supports application development and standardization.
10. Ensure that all unit, system, regression, and acceptance testing has been successfully completed and approved in a development / test environment prior to releasing any updates to QA / production. Monitor this process for all direct reports and provide feedback as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, MIS, HR, or related field required.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years HR or equivalent experience required.
- Minimum 3 years technical / systems experience required.
