General Description/Purpose
The HR Services Generalist is responsible for supporting the HR Operations Team and employees with shared services and other HR functions. These functions include managing benefits systems, communicating with brokers, assisting with payroll queries and inputs, conducting audits and developing policies and procedures.
Essential Job Functions
- Responsible for building collaborative and effective relationships with the HR team, leadership team and developing business partnerships that enable the delivery of world-class HR/People support.
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
- Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include workplace safety training, anti-harassment training, federal and state posters, worker’s compensation postings and employment law practices.
- Assists with recruiting if needed, which includes phone screens, interviews, and onboarding of new hires.
- Assist HR Operations with documenting and delivering coaching and guidance to employee relations and performance management issues.
- Manages relationship between the company and benefit brokers and HR service providers.
- Assist with internal and external audits of benefits and HRIS.
- Ensures the accurate processing of all HR processes including onboarding, offboarding, entering payroll changes and ensuring employee data is accurate.
- Provide payroll and tax functional support as needed.
- Maintain and update company documents which include but are not limited to employee handbooks, company policies, benefits guides etc.
- Assist in tracking legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resource functions such as OSHA, EEO, LOA, FMLA, ADA, and FSLA.
- Conduct training and assist HR Operations with Performance Review cycle.
- Fulfills other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or Business-related discipline required.
- 3+ years’ experience as an HR Generalist, preferably working in a manufacturing or construction industry.
- Workday experience preferred.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus.
- Advanced knowledge in federal and state labor laws including EEO, ADA, FMLA, LOA, etc.
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office
- Superior communication, influencing, coaching, and conflict management skills.
- Experience facilitating and executing training.
- Ability to respond to employee requests/questions in a professional and timely manner.
- Ability to multi-task and handle fast-paced work environment.
- Must maintain confidentiality of all employee issues .
- Ability to work well on a team; contribute and participate in a highly collaborative team environment.

The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 15 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
