A. ZEREGA & Sons, a division of Philadelphia Macaroni Company, in Fairlawn, NJ has an immediate career opening for a Food Plant Plant & HR Administrator to assist Human Resources Manager and to manage front desk of the plant.

This key role is part of the plant’s overall success by providing confidential support to the Human Resources Manager and ancillary support to the Plant Manager. Job Summary
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Conduct new employee orientations and benefit enrollment for new employees
- Actively participate in open enrollment process
- Verify I-9 documentation and maintain current records
- Update employee change requests (ADP) and process paperwork
- Process new hires, terminations and changes
- Serve as on-site contact for temporary labor employees
- Conduct investigations as needed and as requested by Supervisor
- Pro-actively identify trends and/or concerns in the facility
- Actively participate in plant meetings and document, as needed
- Schedule and conduct initial interviews, as needed
- Represents the Company at recruiting events
- Retrieve information for the Plant Manager and provide quality support to the management team
- Keep employee files current and organized
- Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by Supervisor
Front DeskEssential Functions:
- Answer switchboard and screen calls in a professional and courteous manner
- Coordinate all incoming and outgoing mail for the facility
- Open and date stamp all invoices, code and distribute for approval
- Provide administrative support to the Plant Manager and Human Resources Manager
- Performs administrative and clerical support tasks
- Provide support to the Human Resources Manager, New Hire files, Orientation, Application, etc.
- Performs basic filing and recordkeeping
- Bi-Lingual a must (English/Spanish)
- Performs other duties as requested.
Essential requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Previous Administrative experience preferred
- Prior experience in Human Resources a plus
- 1 year in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Effective verbal, written, interpersonal and presentation skills required
- Working Knowledge with Microsoft Office required. (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Detail-orientated and good organizational skills required
- Regular and prompt attendance is necessary
