What You Get to Do!

This position is responsible for oversight of HR operations including management consultation and employee relations, payroll, employee benefits, credentialing, and human resources systems to ensure the high quality and timely service for the organization and to assure compliance with local, state, and federal law.

Management Consultation and Employee Relations

  • Support employees and managers on a myriad of employee relations issues; conducts investigations as appropriate and provides coaching and consulting to managers as needed.
  • Consult with managers to support Performance Achievement and education regarding tools, programs, and processes.
  • Conducts exit interviews with employees and shares pertinent feedback and/or trends with managers.

Payroll and Benefits

  • Manages organization payroll process, ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll, and resolution of employee and system issues.
  • Manages day to day execution of benefit programs; ensuring completion of benefit audits, benefit issues resolution, development of communication and education of staff throughout the year and oversee the annual open enrollment process.
  • Manages the organization credentialing process, ensuring timely and accurate initial and re-credentialing and insurance enrollment. Partners with Billing to facilitate credentialing issue resolution if needed.
  • Partners with Finance department to facilitate open communication regarding payroll, tax, and benefits.
  • Oversee workers compensation claims, reporting, and trends; provide oversight and guidance to HR Generalist as appropriate; participates in worker’s compensation hearings; partner with Safety Manager to discuss trends and employee education needs.
  • Oversees the Leave of Absence and Accommodation processes consulting with outside legal counsel as needed.

Compliance/System Administration

  • Responsible for the oversight of HR systems; troubleshooting issues as appropriate; providing training to staff; work in conjunction with HR Director to identify and implement new HR related systems; ensure accurate and timely processing of paperwork and system updates associated with the following: new hires, transfers, promotions, terminations, name and address changes, job updates, etc.
  • Manage the COI process in collaboration with the COI committee including new hires and annual processes.
  • Oversee W-2 Forms and benefit reporting, PECORI, Employer Provided Health Care Coverage, IRS Forms 1094-B, 1095-B, 1094-C, and/or 1095-C, EEO-1 Report, SAIF, and data/census requests.
  • Partners with HR Director and HR Program Manager to develop, revise, interpret, and administer personnel policies and procedures in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Communicate with employees individually and in groups, as necessary, to explain personnel policies and programs.
  • Develop communication for employees and/or managers to educate on policies, programs, compliance, etc. May include email, newsletter, intranet, presentations, etc.
  • Represents organization in unemployment hearings.

People Management

  • Manage performance of the team, conduct monthly meetups and provide real-time and consistent coaching with all direct reports.
  • Ensure accountability of team, including but not limited to adherence with policies, procedures, guidelines, workflows, etc., addressing attendance, performance, and behavior concerns including corrective action if necessary.
  • Consult with Human Resources to support employee relations, performance achievement, training, employee engagement, etc.
  • Hold consistent and timely team meetings to communicate organization, site, and/or department information, changes, initiatives, etc.
  • Obtain leadership approval and manage all recruitment and hiring for team. Provide oversight and support for recruitment/hiring of openings supervised by direct reports.
  • Effectively monitor onboarding of new hires, ensure on-going training and development for all staff.
  • Manage time off requests and approve timecards for direct reports or as delegated and monitor to ensure staff takes required breaks and lunches.

 

What You Will Bring…

  • Bachelor's Degree in business administration, human resources management, or related field preferred.
  • Human Resources certification preferred.
  • Minimum of five years progressively responsible experience in human resources is required.
  • Experience in the areas of employee relations, compliance, benefits administration, and employee recognition are required.
  • At least one year people management experience preferred.
