JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a Human Resources Manager who will handle a broad range of responsibilities and adapt to the specific needs and resources of the organization. Flexibility, multitasking, and effective communication skills are key to successfully operating in this dynamic growing environment.
This role will be based in our Bryan, TX office.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and align HR strategies with the overall business strategy of the company, taking into account the specific needs and goals of the business units
- Implement HR initiatives that support growth, productivity, and employee satisfaction
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including creating job descriptions, posting job ads, reviewing resumes, conducting interviews, and making hiring decisions
- Develop cost-effective strategies to attract and retain top talent within a budget
- Handle day-to-day HR activities, such as employee onboarding, benefits administration, payroll coordination, immigration applications and paperwork, professional development program administration, company event planning, maintaining employee records, and managing personnel files
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations
- Foster positive employee relations and create an inclusive work environment
- Be accessible to employees, address their concerns, and provide guidance on policies and procedures
- Promote effective communication and facilitate conflict resolution (including HR investigations) when necessary
- Identify training needs within the company and design or coordinate development programs to enhance employee skills
- Implement a performance management system that sets clear goals and expectations for employees. Provide ongoing feedback and coaching to help employees reach their potential. Develop a performance review process that aligns with the company's size and structure
- Stay informed about relevant employment laws and regulations that apply to a small company. Ensure HR policies, procedures, and practices adhere to legal requirements, including record-keeping, minimum wage, and leave entitlements
- Develop initiatives to foster employee engagement and create a positive work culture. Plan team-building activities, recognize employee achievements, and solicit feedback through informal conversations or surveys
- Encourage collaboration and communication among employees
- Leverage HR technology solutions that are suitable for SynchroGrid’s budget and needs
- Implement tools to streamline processes such as payroll, time tracking, and employee data management
- Collaborate with management to identify opportunities for organizational improvement
- Contribute to strategic discussions, such as restructuring, succession planning, or adapting to market changes
- Assist with researching health insurance options leading up to and during open enrollment period
- Create new policies or update previous policies as needed to adapt to the changing needs of the company
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Completion of a bachelor’s or graduate degree program with a major in Human Resources, or an equivalent from an accredited college or university
- Strong familiarity with HR regulations and compliance
- At least 4-5 years of experience in Human Resource Management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
