This is an onsite role with the opportunity to move to a hybrid role.
What you will do:
- Collaborate closely with the Sr. Managing Director, contributing to strategic planning and decision-making processes.
- Manage HR service contracts and budgets, ensuring compliance and alignment with the goals to achieve the desired result of the company.
- Review,update and re-roll the employee and management handbooks, ensuring strict compliance with prevailing regulations.
- Conduct compliance reviews and design training programs to bolster employee understanding. Oversee programs, resources, and vendors to optimize operational and financial efficiency. Handle day-to-day HR operations.
- Conduct investigations as needed guiding and directing managers through the process.
- Understand payroll processes and execute technical audits for accuracy and compliance such as job codes, P&L allocations, payroll approval checklist compliance at the restaurant level, terminations, deductions reconciliations per payroll company and state laws.
- Manage benefits eligibility tracking, enrollment and removal approvals and compliance and budget oversite. Implement PTO request tracking and Manager Scheduling through Hot Schedules software.
- Lead the hiring process to achieve and maintain proper staffing levels.
- Track manpower planning and staffing goals.
- Train and coach managers on effective interviewing techniques, consistent utilization of existing tools and digital candidate tracking platforms.
- Review and refresh onboarding and orientation guidelines and procedures for management and hourly team members.
- Devise and implement initiatives to measure, track and elevate employee engagement.Ensure existing employee recognition programs are followed while improving and developing programs as needed for sustained success.
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- 6-8 years of HR experience with a focus on hands-on operations
- Must have payroll experience for auditing purposes
- Strong knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices
- Experience in Insurance renewals, open enrollment, and benefits management, workers compensation, unemployment
- Strong understanding and ability to create, post and manage the navigation of various recruiting platforms creating a strong digital presence such as LinkedIn Recruiter Lite, iHire
- Knowledge or ability to learn various software programs
- Ability to travel to Hawaii as needed
