The HR Generalist - Team Lead position requires you to take initiative, have a strong work ethic, and to have keen attention to detail. The HR Generalist position plays a crucial role in managing various human resources functions and processes to support the firm's legal professionals and staff. The HR generalists ensure that the firm's workforce is effectively managed, engaged, and compliant with relevant laws and regulations. The position requires leadership, cross-functional teamwork, and exemplary dedication towards the Vergara Miller Law Firm’s mission of “changing people’s lives''.

Task and Responsibilities
Manage HR team - provide strategic leadership and guidance to the HR team while managing various human resources functions to support the needs of our legal professionals and staff.
Employee Communications: facilitate effective communication within the firm, disseminating important information and updates to employees. This could include announcements about firm-wide initiatives, policy changes, and other relevant matters.
Weekly updates to management on description of goals and focuses for the week
Backup to in-office Office Manager
Organizes and maintains the HR Folder on Google Drive:
Onboarding and offboarding responsibilities such as:
Organizes and attends recruiting, and other community and HR events in and out of regular work schedule
Checks for schedule and shift discrepancies for hourly and contract employees in Gusto
Performance Management: HR generalists assist in setting performance goals, conducting performance evaluations, and providing feedback to employees. They may collaborate with supervisors and partners to ensure that performance reviews are conducted regularly and fairly.
Training and Development: They coordinate training and professional development programs to enhance employees' skills and knowledge. This can involve organizing legal training sessions, workshops, and other learning opportunities tailored to the needs of legal professionals.
Benefits Administration: HR generalists manage employee benefits programs such as health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks. They ensure that employees understand their benefits, manage enrollments, and assist with resolving any issues related to benefits.
Coordinate w/ HR team confidential human resources claims, reports and documentation information for the company
