Job Description
Looking for an HR Generalist from a manufacturing background. Currently Part-time but will turn full-time direct hire in 6 months.
Duration: 30hrs/week (Part-Time)
Pay: $48K - 52.5K/yr ($30-33/hr)
Location: Shelby Twp, MI (Onsite) (Day Shift)
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining accurate employee records and updating HRIS systems with changes in employee status and personal information to ensure that employee records are stored securely, in compliance with privacy regulations.
- Processing payroll, ensuring accuracy in timekeeping, wage calculations, and deductions. Handle issues related to overtime, bonuses, commissions, and other forms of compensation.
- Collaborating with hiring managers to define job requirements and develop job descriptions. Help the recruiting department as needed.
- Facilitating new employee orientation sessions to introduce them to company policies, culture, and procedures. Coordinating the setup of new employee workspaces, equipment, and access to systems.
- Processing paperwork for new hires, including employment contracts, tax forms, and benefit enrollments.
- Managing the offboarding process for departing employees, including exit interviews and documentation.
- Staying informed about relevant employment laws, regulations, and industry standards. Ensuring HR policies, procedures, and practices comply with legal requirements.
- Conducting audits or assessments to identify areas of non-compliance and implementing corrective actions.
- Generating reports on HR metrics, such as turnover rates, recruitment statistics, and training completion rates.
- Reviewing HR invoices with the accounts team.
- Tracking HR budget for multiple activities and assisting in budget finalization, including raising PO requests.
