The HR Generalist is tasked with providing administrative and clerical support across various human resources functions, encompassing recruitment, onboarding, training, benefits, performance management, compliance, HRIS, and record maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the recruitment process by managing job postings, coordinating interviews, tracking candidate status, and conducting pre-hire background checks.
- Coordinate and oversee temporary employee management, including new hire and termination processes with staffing agencies.
- Aid in the development and updating of job descriptions as needed.
- Support benefits administration, including monitoring employee eligibility, facilitating annual open enrollment, and assisting with benefits-related inquiries.
- Facilitate onboarding activities, administer new hire paperwork, educate employees on compliance and benefits, and provide ongoing support for employee inquiries.
- Assist in organizing and maintaining employee training records and matrices.
- Ensure compliance with USCIS Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verifications.
- Manage employee leaves of absence, including FMLA, and maintain accurate recordkeeping.
- Maintain employee personnel files to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Support termination and offboarding processes.
- Contribute to the establishment of departmental metrics aligned with company strategic goals.
- Assist in planning and executing company events, such as benefits open enrollment, meetings, employee recognition, and holiday celebrations.
- Stay updated on employment laws and regulations through participation in professional development opportunities.
- Adhere to EMS and IATF 16949 Policies and Procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field.
- Minimum of 2+ years of human resources experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and thorough approach.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Basic understanding of employment laws and practices.
- Ability to manage time-sensitive deadlines and prioritize tasks.
- Proficient in English language, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in computer usage and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree.
- PHR or SHRM-CP Certification (preferred).
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish.
- Experience with Workday HRIS.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Monday Friday, 8 am 5 pm
