MAIN RESPONSIBILITY: Manage the Human Resource function at the Plymouth location following corporate guidance to maintain standardization across Aunt Millie’s facilities. Perform complex and specialized administrative tasks including community outreach, screening and onboarding of employees, communication of employee information to corporate, and generating reports. Guide managers in the hiring process, training, succession planning, and employee relations. Acts as a liaison between employees and management to answer questions regarding policies, practices, and expectations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Regularly collaborates with site managers to understand skills and competencies required for positions.
- Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for vacant positions.
- Maintains community outreach by participating in local career fairs, chamber of commerce events, and connects with high school/colleges to source candidates.
- Management of staffing company’s activities including fill rate and turnover of staff.
- Fields employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to senior-level staff.
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity; recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews the employee manual, job fill manual, overtime policy, job descriptions and current practices to ensure compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources and employment law.
- Perform other duties as requested by management.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent demonstrated skills and experience in management role required.
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Human Resources related position.
- PHR or SHRM-CP preferred.
KNOWLEDGE:
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office suite or related software.
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Fast paced office environment within a manufacturing facility.
- Exposure to dust and high temperature work environment while on manufacturing floor.
- Responsibilities require willingness to work outside of typical office schedule at times.
- Will meet with employees, as necessary, on the production floors of plants.
- Minimal cross-plant/state travel requiring personal vehicle required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Must be able to access all areas of operation, including second floors.
- Significant amount of time spent at desk working on the computer and telephone.
