The Sales Director is an individual contributor role, focused on expanding the HealthAxis client base and selling the company’s BPaaS, BPO, SaaS and other service offerings to Third Party Administrators (TPAs) and health plans, with a focus on Medicare Advantage and commercial plans. This individual will work closely with the SVP of Sales to introduce and expand the adoption of HealthAxis’s offerings. They will be responsible for maintaining and cultivating relationships with channel partners, health partners, risk-bearing provider groups, and other centers of influence across the payor IT market.
Responsibilities
- Establish productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned partner accounts.
- Contribute to developing a robust enterprise pipeline of Payers, with a focus on Medicare Advantage and commercial payors.
- Sell the company’s technological and service offerings in coordination with partner sales resources. Work closely with new and existing customers to close new contracts and maintain existing contacts.
- Collaborate in the RFP procurement process for opportunities presented by channel partners.
- Establish a trusted advisor relationship with partners by demonstrating a strong understanding of their businesses.
- Implement channel campaigns to expand market share and pursue aggressive growth targets.
- In partnership with the SVP of Sales, ensure an exceptional buyer experience throughout their relationship with HealthAxis.
- Maintain account records in the HealthAxis Customer Relationship Manager (CRM). Ensure the CRM is up to date with the latest data and information about the partner account, key contacts, media, and social media to engage in meaningful and targeted prospecting.
- Collaborate with the direct sales and marketing teams on executing the partner strategy.
- Represent the company at industry conferences and meetings. Coordinate and manage product and company presentations to partners.
- Identify market trends and solicit partner feedback from customers that contribute to developing new services and products and improving customer satisfaction. Provide a constant feedback loop to the product and services team.
- Monitor the marketplace and analyze opportunities, providing competitive analysis, strategies, and tactics.
- 3+ years of progressive sales leadership with experience as a senior sales leader working within a growing organization
- History of working within the healthcare payer BPO / BPaaS space is required
- Familiarity and comfort working in a fast-paced environment. Private equity-backed company experience is a plus.
- In-depth knowledge of the health insurance market is required.
- Experience managing partner relationships that are based on developing and delivering BPaaS offerings.
- A strong network across channel partners, health partners, and risk-bearing provider groups.
- Proven and consistent evidence of over-achievement of annual quota targets.
- Ability to develop and persuasively lead complex business presentations.
- Self-starter with strong organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
