Job description
Kinkor Consulting is on a mission to provide early stage companies with an interim solution to optimize the process, programs, and execution of their Talent & People functions. For over 10 years, we have been a "go-to" service for Talent Function Optimization (TFO) & People Operations helping some of the best new technology companies build a scalable Talent & People operation. We work with top venture-backed companies and are selective in the clients we choose to work with.
We partner with our clients to build a complete strategy throughout the employee lifecycle, starting from understanding Talent gaps in their companies, to securing & retaining top performers while putting systems in place to enable the People function to thrive.
We are a team of enthusiastic and driven Talent & People professionals who are ever curious, value the collective win, are unassuming by nature, and are highly adaptable. We're in search of new folks to join us who will expand our breadth of knowledge across fields and industries and bring new and creative solutions to problems within the talent acquisition space.
About this Role
- This is a consulting role, where you will be a critical part of our clients' success. Your responsibilities are as more than just a tactical professional, as you aid early-stage startups in building or modifying processes to yield better results and advance their People function. This role extends beyond the need to just meet People objectives and deliver on metrics - you will contribute to high-level business conversations, solve problems around company growth, and identify individual motivations to align them with team requirements and business needs. This role is a fully remote 1099 position (40 hours/week). Joining the Kinkor Consulting network provides access to a vibrant learning community, fantastic mentorship, and resources that are informed by the vastness of our consultants' reach.
Job Responsibilities
- HR Business Partner: Act as an HR Business Partner to mid-level management, providing guidance on HR strategy, organizational planning, employee engagement, change management, and employee relations.
- Employee Relations: Act as the first point of contact for employee relations concerns: address and resolve employee concerns in a timely and effective manner, or escalate when necessary. Coach managers through the performance improvement plan and termination process, when necessary.
- Performance Reviews & Compensation Cycle: Execute annual performance review, promotion, and compensation cycle, ensuring a fair and constructive process that provides both the organization and employees with the feedback they need.
- Employee Engagement & DEIB: Facilitate the Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Committee to continually improve infrastructure and processes that support an inclusive culture and a diverse workforce. Manage the bi-annual Employee Engagement survey process, analyze survey results and implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement.
Job Requirements
- Prior experience scaling People Ops infrastructure and processes at a rapidly growing startup
- 8+ years of People Operations/HR Generalist experience, healthcare, biotech or technology company preferred
- Ability to see the big picture 'where we're headed' and prioritize accordingly in a fast-paced environment when the unexpected arises
- Robust knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and compliance requirements
- Track record in building trusting relationships with employees and managers, and excellent communication skills that easily adapt to the audience
- Resourceful and Scrappy - As an early member of a startup, we need people who can find creative ways to make a big impact quickly and without much direction.
- Experience handling deadlines, keeping many balls in the air, and prioritizing work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Passion for collaborating cross-functionally with sales, operations, client success, data, and product teams to ideate, complete projects, and drive impactful results.
$75 - $110 an hour
The compensation range varies based on experience/skills and scope of role.
Why work with us?
