Our Human Resource professionals are accountable for establishing and maintaining the processes and systems which enable our organization to fully leverage the skills and talents of all our employees. The HR function helps the business units (BU) in driving the HR strategy, helping to create a positive and career fulfilling experience for each individual. The HR Business Partner is responsible for assisting in the development of strategy while providing tactical HR support to key business units to assist them in reaching core business goals. The HR Business Partner will be directly involved in many aspects of embedded HR activities and will assist in executing the HR Delivery Model and Business Plan.
Essential Duties
- Partners with business leadership and HR functional colleagues to drive results for all human resource efforts for the assigned business unit.
- Partners with the HR Leadership to develop strong business relationship with business clients through consultation on human resources strategic and operational issues.
- Collaborates with management and employees to identify and resolve issues that achieve a balance between business and employee needs, and ensures compliance with company policies, procedures and government regulations where required.
- Provides advice, guidance and resolution to employee relations issues impacting effective business and organizational success.
- Ensures successful deployment of HR strategies and tactics to the business unit by serving as the main point of contact/consultant for the BU.
- Contributes to the development of policies and practices to ensure alignment with corporate and business unit strategies and government regulations where required.
- Drives talent development though delivery of organization key performance processes and systems. Assists in the Identification, evaluation and management of talent risks within business unit.
- Delivers compensation systems to business units ensuring organizational consistency and compliance.
- Assists in Human Resources staff planning efforts, including partnering with hiring managers and Talent Acquisition team to identify and build a diverse pool of professional, technical and leadership talent.
Required Education/Experience
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field; Master's degree in Human Resources preferred.
Minimum 5 years of human resources generalist experience required. Demonstrated expertise in employee relations, compensation planning, employee/leadership development and organizational effectiveness. Experience providing HRBP support to a major business unit (Commercial, Scientific, G&A etc.) required. Proven experience in supporting the implementation of HR systems and projects, including performance management, succession planning, training needs assessment, development and implementation, compensation planning and workforce planning and assessment.
