Southland Holdings is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Benefits Analyst to join our HR team in Grapevine, TX. In this role, you will work closely with the HR Director & Manager, providing crucial support in benefit planning to our employees. The ideal candidate will have a strong human relations background, excellent analytical and communication skills and knowledge of corporate benefits.
Responsibilities:
- Work with HR leadership to determine appropriate benefits and wellness program benchmarks; stay current with best practices to drive continuous improvement of employee health and decrease employer costs on a year-over-year basis.
- Assist with developing a benefits strategy by evaluating benefits plans and programs on an ongoing basis; recommend plan design and revisions design based on company needs and developing market trends.
- Responsible for the annual open enrollment process, including but not limited to coordination and distribution of materials from carriers, creation and facilitation of presentations, arrangement of on-site representation by providers, and ensuring changes are made to all benefit materials.
- Ensure regulatory compliance with benefit-related Federal and State laws; stay up-to-date with proposed legislation at Federal, State, and local levels.
- Stay informed about industry trends and competitor activities that may impact the organization's financial performance.
- Work with the field and answer any questions or concerns about employee population.
- Complete weekly and monthly benefit billings for the self-funded plan.
- Work with the payroll department to ensure proper benefit deductions are in place and transacted weekly.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field.
- 3+ years of proven experience and knowledge of State and Federal laws and regulations pertaining to benefits and retirement plans.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate and high-quality work.
- Preferred Bilingual, not required (Spanish & English)
