Job Requirements & Responsibilities
Be able to provide own transportation; valid driver’s license, adequate insurance coverage if vehicle needed for on-the-job use; Criminal Background Check; Protective Services Record Check; initial Health Assessment and required updates; TB Risk Assessment or TB screening by Mantoux method.
Qualifications
Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, and other computer applications. Training or experience with Human Resource Data Information systems is desirable. Communicating effectively with all segments of the corporation and community. Ability to work independently, exercising judgment and initiative. Interacts and communicates with individuals at all levels of the organization, demonstrating poise, tactfulness, diplomacy, and good interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
Maintain a current working knowledge of all state, federal and local laws as they pertain to the HR function and provide support in the administration of agency personnel policies and other Human Resource functions.
Maintain and update the Personnel files of agency employees. Update daily and maintain the HR Information system database (WFGO, Child Plus, ABRA, and e-train). Independently respond to letters and general correspondence of a routine nature; respond to complaints and requests for information within the framework of agency policies. Research, prepare and maintain personnel reports.
Assists in administration of benefits program PEIA/FBMC, monitoring of the performance appraisal process, and organization and maintenance of employment applications. Electronically process incident/accident reports to Encova (Workers' Comp) within the required time frame, coordinate, and track Workers' Comp. claims.
Process new hire reports to the State of WV New Hire Reporting system. Maintain recordkeeping and correspondence related to FMLA. Maintain EEO reports, logs, and audit all I-9’s to ensure compliance. Maintain and monitor Supervisor train report for all updates. Process all HR invoices as well as other Finance paperwork. Assist with New Employee Orientation.
Serve as backup, when needed, for Corp Admin Assistant in processing mail, completing checks for finance, and logging in checks. Assume oversight for the Human Resources office operations during the absence of the Human Resources Director. Other related duties as assigned.
