Hr Assistant

We are looking for an enthusiastic, talented HR Assistant for a full-time position in McLean, VA. (Monday to Friday, full time, onsite)

Job purpose:

To provide administrative and clerical support to duties related to Service Contract Act (SCA) programs and projects.

Performance Outcomes:

• Perform administrative duties, such as maintaining employee database and sorting emails for the HR department.
• Support all related HR tasks, including but not limited to managing HRIS, onboarding new employees, running payroll, validating time reports, maintaining employee's files and records, etc.
• Prepares written communications: memos, notes, presentations, etc. required by leadership.
• Ensure smooth communication with employees and timely resolution to their queries.
• Answer telephone calls and emails from customers and clients and direct them to relevant staff
• Monitor office supplies and order new stationery, furniture, appliances and electronics as required

Requirements:

• High school or equivalent. Highly desired associate degree and/or SHRM or HRCI certification
• One to two years of related experience, including at least 6 months in federal contracting.
• Initiative and sound judgment to solve everyday situations.
• Highly proficient using Microsoft Office
Must be able to pass a government background check and obtain a security clearance.

• $22.00 an hour
