Posting Summary
Provide direct support for the Finance and Human Resource administrators for the Dean's Office, supporting Office of Medical Education ( OME ) and other Dean's Office departments. Responsibilities include budget and purchasing support for Finance Administrator and recruiting and onboarding/off boarding support for HR Administrator. Facilitate the creation of necessary HR documents to ensure compliance with university policies and procedures. Exercise discretion in providing disclosure of sensitive/confidential information and have a thorough knowledge and understanding of university policies and procedures. Assist with billing, purchasing, payables and receivables. Oversee temporary hires in all aspects including recruitment, on-boarding, and off boarding for all temporary employees within OME (including standardized patients, summer temporary employees and medical student tutors), including the paperwork and expectations. Assist with operational systems to facilitate work processes that support the OME mission and goals.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Associate's degree in related area and two to three years related experience required. Working knowledge of software applications used to support area operations required, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point and Visio. Effective verbal and written communication skills required. Effective interpersonal communication, organizational and prioritizing skills, problem-solving skills, and math proficiency required.
Desirable Qualifications
Peoplesoft experience is desirable. Prior HR and or Finance experience is desirable.
Other Information
A four-month probationary period is required for external candidates. This position is a bargaining unit position.
