Amentum is currently seeking HPC System Administrator to support an IT Managed Services program in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The overall program includes a 500+ work force performing Enterprise IT support, Service Desk, and Telecommunications support across multiple facilities and locations, for classified and unclassified telecommunications and information technology (IT) systems.
As a member of the team, you will:
- Monitor the state of the HPC clusters and storage using software utilities, shell scripts, and command line interfaces.
- Troubleshoot and identify failed hardware, implement parts replacement through the RMA process, and work with HPC SME's to resolve system failures.
- Work with HPC team and vendors in the delivery and deployment of clusters and storage systems including SNL shipping and receiving.
- Rack and cable servers and storage systems using HPC SME's diagrams and spreadsheets.
- Actively seek opportunities to broaden and deepen your knowledge base and proficiencies.
- Build your professional development through mentorship partners and informal training.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must have a Bachelors Degree and 6 years of experience OR an Associates degree and 9 years of experience OR a High School degree/GED and 12 years of experience OR equivalent education/ experience.
- Related experience can be substituted for relevant education and vice versa.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET (TS) or DOE Q Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a TOP SECRET (TS) or DOE Q Clearance.
- Experience as a Linux System Administrator doing all activities such as installation, system integration, image development, patching, upgrades, and complex problem resolution.
- Demonstrated experience in hardware systems analysis to determine system requirements, define system design (integrating hardware and software requirements), develop system architectures, and assess functionality and performance systems.
- Experience in racking and cabling of computer equipment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Foundational knowledge of IT infrastructure areas such as networking.
- Ability to apply critical thinking skills and apply detailed data into useful information such as documentation and developing policies, processes, and procedures.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
