Housekeeping Supervisor/Lead (Weekly Pay, Health Benefits, Career Opportunities)

At HSS we are looking for a Housekeeping Supervisor/lead to lead our team of room attendants and ensure we provide excellent customer service at New Orleans, LA area.

The Housekeeping Supervisor must possess excellent organizational skills and be detail-oriented. As the liaison between HSS and the property, the Housekeeping Supervisor ensures that the staff meets all hotel requirements. In addition, maintains a professional and effective relationship with property management. Their role also involves developing and training other housekeeping staff.

Duties and responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a high standard of excellence at the site level, according to site and HSS standards.
• Ensure site contractual obligations, company policies, standards, and procedures are followed.
• Investigate and resolve issues related to HSS personnel.
• Inform property management of any guest issues or concerns.
• Strive to maintain a safe work environment on-site and in the office.
• Conduct daily pre-shift and safety meetings.
• Provide orientation for all new employees.
• Handle all Trainee candidates at the hotel.
• Assist with key control.
• Assist with staffing schedules.
• Assist with inventory control systems for all supplies, chemicals, and equipment.
• Ensure all weekly reports are completed in a timely manner.
• Responsible for submitting billing and payroll reports.
• Use and maintain the work order system and/or property management system to include, but not limited to, logging and recording all service requests, initiating, dispatching, and closing all work orders, generating reports, and assigning tasks to staff.

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
• Prior housekeeping, cleaning, or customer service experience
• 1 year experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor in a full service hotel.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Flexibility to work on weekends and holidays.
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft programs.
• ·Must meet company and hotel grooming standards.
