The Housekeeping Coordinator is responsible for all day-to-day operational activities within the Housekeeping Department. Candidates must have supervisory experience in a long-term care or similar health care setting and possess the ability to provide exceptional customer service to our residents. This position requires an active team-player who will be a hands-on working supervisor. Candidates who create a caring, fun work environment are strongly encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities include:
- Supervises and assigns housekeeping team their duties and inspects work for conformance to prescribed standards of cleanliness
- Develops a work environment that is friendly and caring to motivate each team member
- Investigates complaints regarding housekeeping service to ensure the highest level of resident satisfaction
- Coordinates work activities among departments
- Conducts orientation training and in-service training to explain policies, work procedures, and to demonstrate use and maintenance of equipment
- Inventories stock to ensure adequate supplies
- Makes recommendations to improve service and ensure more efficient operation
