Housekeeping @ Our Lady Of Lourdes Regional Medical Center

Sodexo is looking for housekeepers for Our Ladyof Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette, LA! We have full-time openings. Every other weekend and holidays are required. We are currently requiring the flu vaccine before starting to work. Full-time employees receive several competitive benefits.

Job Duties:

• Clean offices, patients'/residents' rooms, common areas, lavatories, halls, food service areas and any other area that may require attention.
• Sweep, mop, scrub, polish floor & vacuums hallways, stairs and office spaces.
• Clean light fixtures, ceilings, vents, walls, mattresses, furniture and windows.
• Properly and safely use cleaning chemicals per manufacturer and Sodexo standards.
• Empty trash and garbage containers.
• Replenish supplies.
• May change sheets and replenish linen.
• May perform routine equipment maintenance.
• Moves furniture and sets-up tables and chairs.
• Notifies supervisor concerning need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment.
• Complies with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures.
• Reports all accidents & injuries.
• Participate in safety meetings, trainings and hazard assessments.
• Attends training programs and huddles.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

Experience/Knowledge:

High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience preferred but not required.

• Ability to learn & use established techniques for the efficient and compliant completion of duties.
• Ability to present self in a highly professional manner to others and understands that honesty and ethics are essential.
• Ability to maintain a positive attitude.

• Must be able to work nights, weekends and some holidays.

Physical Requirements:

• Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus, with or without correctives lenses.
• Significant walking or other means of mobility.
• Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
• Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, and frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift/move 40 pounds.
