What is this Job?

The moment a guest steps into one of our hotels, they walk into a genuinely memorable experience. As a Housekeeper/Laundry Attendant you responsible for providing a clean, safe and welcoming environment for our guests from look and cleanliness in the lobby through all public spaces including hallways and especially their guest room. Your will follow the HIG standards of cleanliness that will be set forth for you. You will work closely with all Departments especially Front Desk and Maintenance to ensure all aspects of the guest's experience meets or exceeds their expectations. You will report directly to the Lead Housekeeper and General Manager.

Your day to day

• Check public areas, such as lobby, guest bathrooms, fitness center, guest laundry, hallways, elevators, stairwells, pool area, and courtyard to ensure areas are clean, safe, and free of debris. All be aware of any maintenance issues or repairs needed in those areas and report them to Front Desk or Maintenance.
• Perform all housekeeping duties as required based on the high cleanliness standards set forth for you. These tasks may include but are not limited to making beds, cleaning all surfaces, sweeping, removing trash, dusting, vacuuming, and washing, drying, folding, and transporting linen as needed.
• Focus on creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our guests throughout the hotel.
• Comply with special needs and special request of the guest, VIPs, and repeat visitors to ensure we achieve complete guest satisfaction.
• Assist with deep cleaning projects as well as other special projects to ensure our housekeeping standards are being met and executed.
• Promote teamwork and quality service within in the Housekeeping Department as well as with other Hotel Departments. This includes proper communication as well as assisting other departments as needed.
• Be mindful of your supplies and inform the Lead Housekeeper as needed when supplies are getting low so they can be ordered in a timely manner to ensure we do not run out of any required cleaning products or guest amenities.
• Take pride in your work and your work area. Keep work areas and housekeeping carts clean and organized to ensure areas are always safe.
• Organize the laundry area and housekeeping carts every day to ensure you work efficiently and make sure areas and carts are restocked at the end of shifts so everything is in its proper place and ready for the next shift.
• Follow all safety and cleaning standards put in place to ensure both you and our guests are safe at all times.
• Keep a positive and welcoming attitude towards guests during all interactions throughout the hotel from guest rooms and hallways to elevators and public areas.
• Maintain procedures for security of lost and found items.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Lead Housekeeper and General Manager.

What we need from you

• High school diploma / secondary education / or equivalent of 2-5 years of housekeeping experience.
• Must be able to speak and understand basic English. Fully fluent in English would be a plus.
• Ability to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to work morning, mid-day, and evening shifts as needed.
