Position Overview
This position provides a clean, safe, attractive environment for residents, visitors, and staff.
Essential Functions
- Perform 10-step general cleaning procedures.
- Performs routine cleaning duties in assigned areas, using appropriate chemicals and equipment, including patient and exam rooms, discharges, restrooms (including showers), offices, and public areas.
- Sweeps and wet/dry mops floors, vacuums, rugs and carpets, and replaces vacuum cleaner bags as required. Including spot cleaning in corridors. Dusts all horizontal surfaces and furniture. Wipes, and/or dusts window blinds and shades as appropriate.
- Cleans high-touch surfaces, including but not limited to, doorknobs, light switches, electrical outlets, faucets, and sinks.
- Restocks disposable supplies and soap in restrooms.
- Cleans inside refrigerators and outside of refrigerators.
- Gather and disposes of trash, both general and medical, in designated areas as per policies.
- Performs immediate action steps in case of an emergency per departmental guidelines.
- Keeps the work area in a neat, clean, and orderly condition.
- Performs other duties assigned.
Skills/Qualifications
- Able to read, write, and understand spoken English thoroughly
- Ability to work most holidays and all weekends
- Must be willing and able to drive a golf cart
