Omni Tempe Hotel at ASU is seeking a Housekeeper (Room Attendant) to join the team of our brand-new upscale hotel. Omni Tempe Hotel at ASU will provide Tempe with 330 guest rooms, 36,000 square feet of event space and four new food and beverage outlets. Featuring a rooftop upscale restaurant and the largest ballroom in the area, we expect to provide elevated options for our guests for dining and entertainment.
Responsibilities:- Thoroughly clean guest rooms including making beds, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, and dusting.
- Restock and replace used items within guest rooms.
- Complete daily task sheet assignment in a timely manner.
- Communicate clean status of each room upon completion.
- Stock supply cart and ensure that it is neat and well organized at all times.
- Respond to all hotel guests efficiently and in an appropriately friendly manner.
- Maintain and protect equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in floor linen closets.
- Report and monitor guest room maintenance issues.
- Understand both Houseperson and Public Space positions well enough to perform duties in associates’ absence.
- Maintain highest levels of cleanliness throughout the hotel property.
- Complete daily and weekly cleaning projects as assigned.
- Anticipate, listen, and follow through with all the guests’ requests in a timely manner.
- Communicate any needs or concerns within the hotel with the appropriate departments.
- Follow all Loss Prevention procedures regarding guest property, safety, and security.
- Reporting any concerns to department managers or loss prevention in a timely manner.
- Attend all designated staff meetings and training sessions.
- Hotel housekeeping experience is required.
- Maintain a professional business appearance, attitude, and performance.
- Move, bend, lift up to 35 pounds, carry, push and/or pull up to 150 pounds without assistance.
- Stand or walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
