Work Schedule: Sunday-Thursday 8:00am-4:30pm
Primary Responsibilities:
The Housekeeper is dedicated to providing the highest quality of care in a loving and safe environment for all of our residents, while helping each of them to achieve their maximum potential. We are committed to be a resource for the families of our residents who have entrusted us with their care. We will empower our staff by providing them with a motivating and supportive work environment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1) Clean apartments according to The Pointe’s procedures.
2) Clean common areas according to The Pointe’s procedures.
3) Responsible for keeping housekeeping cart well maintained and stocked.
4) Responsible for maintaining janitor/housekeeping closet and equipment.
5) Report all maintenance problems as soon as possible.
6) Respond to unscheduled clean ups.
7) Maintain laundry area in clean, tidy order.
8) Cooperate with all departments in set-up and clean-up of special events.
9) Wear required uniform and report to work on time.
10) Comply with The Pointe’s standards of appearance, hygiene, and health standards.
11) Protect the confidentiality of the residents. Treat all residents and their families with dignity and respect.
12) Attend all required in-services and training.
Qualifications and SkillsRequired:
1) Ability to handle multiple priorities.
2) Must have compassion and empathy for seniors and desire to work with seniors.
3) Self-directed, demonstrating initiative and follow-through.
4) Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
5) Must have the ability to read, write and follow written direction in the English language.
6) Ability to timely and effectively follow up on all necessary requests from residents and families.
7) Maintain and encourage a positive work atmosphere by communicating in a manner that fosters cooperation.
8) Ability to handle stressful situations and work well under pressure.
9) Ability to recognize and communicate problems with Executive Director/Environmental Service Manager

Must be in good general health and demonstrate emotional stability. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
