Job Summary:
The Housekeeper at Courtyard by Marriott - Niagara Falls is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and comfort of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces. This individual will work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment to uphold the high standards of our brand and provide exceptional service to our guests. This is a full-time, hourly position in the hospitality/restaurant industry, located in Niagara Falls, New York.
Compensation & Benefits:
The compensation for this position is $15 to $16 per hour, paid on a weekly basis. Other benefits include health insurance, paid sick time, and employee discounts at Marriott properties.
Responsibilities:
- Clean and maintain guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and restocking amenities
- Clean and maintain public areas, including corridors, elevators, and lobby
- Clean and maintain back-of-house areas, including employee break room and laundry room
- Respond promptly to guest requests for housekeeping services
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate department
- Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor when interacting with guests
- Adhere to all safety and sanitation policies and procedures
- Attend and actively participate in all team meetings and training sessions
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Requirements:
- Previous housekeeping experience in a hotel or similar setting preferred
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper equipment usage, and techniques
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Physical ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently
