Good Friends Hospitality Group is hiring an hourly Bartender for Paisano's Ristorante. The job is bartending at Paisano's Ristorante, Topeka's only made-from-scratch Italian restaurant. Bartender reports to the Front of House Manager.
Bartender core responsibilities are:
- Preparing wine, beer, and mixed drinks as ordered by customers. Mixed drinks are measured and prepared according to our recipes.
- Serving bar guests meals when guests wish to eat at the bar and assisting taking carryout orders when not busy with above bar duties.
- Side work to include cutting fruit, filling ice, and washing bar dishes in the bar dishwasher. Other side work and cleaning may be assigned or requested.
- Assisting the Front of House team with other duties when not occupied at the bar.
This is an hourly position. Bartenders may receive and keep tips daily. Historical tip averages figure into the hourly wage range listed in job posting. Wage range is negotiable and varies by availability and capability. We are dedicated to paying our team fairly.
Qualifications
- No previous experience is required for this role, but will be a strong plus. We CAN train a bartender from scratch, but the pay will start at a base rate and rise with skill level once trained.
- Great People Skills. You MUST be friendly, even with customers who are grumpy because they have to wait for a table or they are hungry.
- Team Player. This role requires engaging customers and servers and managers and being a part of a team.
- Open Availability. This role will be expected to work rotating weekends and weekday evenings.
- Communication Skills. Effectively communicating will be a critical skill.
