We are seeking to fill a FULL TIME Sales Coordinator position that will assist the Sales Management team with administrative duties related to sales, booking guest rooms, banquets and meeting rooms, and other clerical/marketing duties as assigned. You will also help us post weekly onto our social media sites to promote our hotel via Facebook, Instagram, etc…
Below are the hours and some of the responsibilities you are directly responsible for.
Hours: 9am-6pm (1 hour Lunch) ** This may change based on events happening in our hotel.
Days: Monday - Friday (Weekends may be required based on any events booked at the hotel)
**Candidates will need to pass a Background Check and Drug Test to be considered. No Exceptions.**
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Complete contracts and sales bids.
- Maintain good rapport with Clients
- Facilitate tours and book reservations as needed
- Complete expense reports, orders supplies, and creates documents, PowerPoint Presentations and reports.
- Communicate to and coordinate with all other hotel departments and personnel to ensure our corporate guests have a great experience.
- Answers calls, takes messages, schedules appointments; excellent verbal communication skills required.
- Occasionally work weekends or evenings to ensure events are prepared and guest’s needs are met.
- Post seasonal ads for any upcoming promotions
- Maintain sales office clean and clutter free to maintain a professional appearance
- Organize and file paperwork as directed by Sales Management
- Manage Outlook emails and respond to all inquiries with-in 2 hours
- Assist at the Front Desk when busy and/or directed by management
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES
- Excellent verbal communication both on phone and in person
- Proper professional writing for emails and business documents
- Strong computer skills including Word, Power Point, Excel
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time (maximum 5 hours at a time, 8 hours in total/day)
- Ability to work on a computer for extended of time (maximum 5 hours at a time, 8 hours in total/day)
- Ability to speak and hear on a phone within a shared work space
- Ability to lift or carry up to 40 pounds
