Join our team! We have an immediate openings for individuals who are committed to elevating the member and guest experience to fill the position of an Full Time Hotel Sales Coordinator.
JOB SUMMARY:
This position contributes to the success of Los Angeles Athletic Club ("Company") by creating positive experiences for every member and guest who visits the club by providing administrative support to the Area Director of Sales to ensure proper booking, planning, coordination, and follow-up of all Sales functions and is generally the onsite contact person for the Hotel Sales Department. The Sales Coordinator is responsible and detail oriented, contributing to the achievement of sales targets by supporting the sales team, coordinating sales activities, coordinating with other departments, motivating staff, handling administrative duties, and promoting client satisfaction. To be a successful Sales Coordinator you should have excellent organizational, administrative, and problem-solving skills. You should also possess strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Answer all incoming department calls, provide general, and specific information regarding Sales team related questions daily
  • Draft and type general correspondence, as well as perform general administrative duties such as responding to emails, filing, and preparing weekly and daily reports.
  • Maintains and organizes all sales files, follow-up with clients on sales contracts and guarantees.
  • Assists with ordering occasional gifts for clients and all holiday client gifts
  • Book appointments for prospective clients to show them guest rooms, provide information such as room availability
  • Prepare and distribute banquet event orders in a timely manner and keep all department heads informed of any changes and/or additions. Prepare and distribute all Group Resumes for the Sales Team.
  • Maintaining helpful and cooperative relations with members, guests, and associates.
  • Responsible for seeing that computer and office equipment are in good working condition and keeping supplies available.
  • Responsible for composing all sales VIP note cards daily and delivery to room along with guest amenities
  • Follow up communication with DOS when projects are completed
  • Handles the staging of show rooms, getting show room numbers for site visits
  • Preparation and processing of transfers, credits and debits, interfacing with accounting and clients as needed.
  • Supporting with Budgets for expenses like bonuses, marketing costs, and travel
  • Must input information into Salesforce and Opera daily
  • Make LAAC's products and services as attractive to potential customers as possible

MUST HAVE:
EDUCATION, LICENSES, & CERTIFICATION:
  • Ideal: Minimum of two (2) years of experience in same or similar positions in the Retail, Hospitality, or Food & Beverage industry
  • Required: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • Ideal: Bachelor's
  • Ideal: Current California Driver License with satisfactory Department of Motor Vehicle driving record.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Required: At least twenty-one 21 years of age.
  • Required: Reliable and punctual attendance.
  • Required: Excellent time-management skills; prioritizing and completing assigned job tasks effectively.
  • Required: Travel (by vehicle and plane) for business, training, and/or development, including overnight trips.
  • Ideal: Bi-lingual oral, speech, and writing skills in English and Spanish or other language is an asset in this position
  • Required: Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Required: Computer Experience: proficient Microsoft Office programs, Outlook, and ideally Opera
  • Required: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to convey messages clearly and compose correspondence with correct and proper grammar.
  • Required: Strong presentation skills; convey messages clearly and confidently; persuade and effect change positively.
  • Required: Capable of working effectively independently with minimal supervision
  • Required: Strong analytical skills.
  • Required: High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Required: Strong organizational skills
  • Required: Ability to prioritize effectively and efficiently meet deadlines and produce work in a timely manner.
  • Required: Ability to elicit and accept constructive feedback.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS, DEMANDS, AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
Physical Exertion - Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Work involves sitting most of the time; walking and standing are required only occasionally.

Pay: Hourly $24.00-$30.00 USD
