Hotel Night Auditor/Desk Clerk

If your answer to these questions is an enthusiastic "YES", a hotel Front Desk Night Auditor position may be right for you. The Holiday Inn and Suites Hotel in Bellingham is seeking a FULL-TIME/PART TIME NIGHT AUDIT/GUEST SERVICE AGENT. The position involves:
* Connecting with guests and staff from all walks of life, and attending to their needs. Energizing those around
you.
* Mastering the Opera Property Management System
* Answering incoming calls, addressing and resolving billing, room, reservation and general guest services related matters while smiling and maintaining a positive attitude and professional manner. We are looking for someone EXSTREMELY DEPENDABLE, AND UNDERSTANDS CUSTOMER CARE.
**Full training is provided
**Partial uniform provided

Qualifications:
* Must be 21 years of age - High school diploma or GED required.
* Computer and typing experience required
* Must have some skills in handling cash transactions
* Cashiering that includes credit transactions, till reporting knowledge, and/or daily shift transactions. Work with and understand credit, billing, rate schedules, discount information and data and the ability to execute basic math functions.
* Front-line retail or hospitality experience is preferred.
* Must be able to evaluate situations and select suitable courses of action quickly and accurately. Taking ownership of guest issues and communicate professionally.
* Effectively handle problems in the workplace; anticipating, preventing and solving problems. Capable of apologizing on own behalf or that of team members.
* Effective listening skills; capable of understanding and clarifying concerns and issues as raised by guests and co- workers.
* Be willing and able to undergo training and achieve proficiency in the hotels computer, telephone and emergency systems.
* Able to communicate information verbally and in written form in a clear, concise, accurate and professional manner.
