JOB SUMMARY

The General Manager (GM) is responsible for the efficient operation of the property as measured against the established budget, while maintaining guest service standards.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Guest Relations:

  • Meet with and solicit comments from guests regularly to determine guest satisfaction with services and facilities.
  • Monitor guest feedback and take appropriate and timely action according to company policy.
  • Take steps to ensure the greatest guest satisfaction possible within budgetary constraints.
  • Ensure the security needs of the guests, staff, and property are met.
  • Ensures all team members know area attractions and services to accommodate guests’ needs. Operations:
  • Responsible for the protection of company assets.
  • Manage property revenue and expenses to maintain or exceed budget.
  • Inspect studios and public spaces daily according to the Clean & Safe program brand standards.
  • Ensure all team members are trained to act according to procedure, in the event of an emergency or accident.
  • Ensure all policies and procedures are accurately followed at all times by all team members.
  • Deposit revenue intake daily to the appropriate banking institution as determined by the company.
  • Administration of accounts receivable ensuring all accounts are up to date according to company policy. Sales & Revenue:
  • Executes the lead management process and completes all sales and marketing objectives as established by the Area Manager.
  • Manage all target and key business accounts to ensure the highest possible revenue gain.
  • Develop and maintain rapport with lead sources to maximize revenue gain.
  • Review Studio Inventory daily to ensure maximization of studio revenue.
  • Maintain effective sales of ancillary offerings to accommodate guests’ needs and maximize revenue. Personnel:
  • Review and approve property payroll according to company policy and procedure.
  • Ensure proper selection and retention of all property staff.
  • Ensure training, coaching, counseling, and engagement of all team members.
  • Conduct annual personnel performance appraisals for all direct reports

. • Ensure team members effectively follow the “Say Yes to a Simple Request” program.

  • Cross-train on the duties of all staff members and performs those duties as needed or when requested by supervision.
  • Complete WSS training during first one/two weeks of time in the role
  • Conduct pre-opening sales activities in the market during the pre-opening period [beginning date of hire] to drive room nights on the books [RNOTB] at time of opening
  • Gain complete understanding of market dynamics, competitors and demand generators and build strong relationships with area influencers • Collaborate with Sales Manager and other Sandpiper resources to ensure strong pre-opening sales effort and RNOTB production
  • Take lead in coordinating the ribbon-cutting event and grand opening events, working with all Sandpiper resources to ensure the events have a great turnout and execute flawlessly
  • Prepare hotel for a flawless operations opening with expectations of a perfect opening QA (Quality Assurance) score
  • Hire and train outstanding service team ready for an amazing opening
  • Implement Kai practices throughout hotel in conjunction with Regional Manager and knowledge gained from ESA experience
  • Attend all pre-opening calls and co-ordinate pre-opening checklist with Regional Manager to ensure no items are overlooked
  • All other duties as assigned by supervision.

QUALIFICATIONS Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, or General Education Degree (GED). Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Economics, Marketing, or another business-related field preferred.

Experience: • 2 or more years of experience in supervisorial or leadership role, preferably in a hospitality, retail, food service or property management field. Knowledge:

  • General understanding of common office/front desk procedures
  • Basic business management practices

  • Intermediate computer operation including but not limited to accessing data from the internet

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
