Hotel General Manager

The State Plaza Hotel, a 241-suite full-service hotel, located in Foggy Bottom, the hub of the federal and international business district, has an outstanding opportunity for a hands-on General Manager.

As the General Manager of the State Plaza Hotel, you will be at the helm of a dynamic team dedicated to exceeding guest expectations and setting new standards in hospitality. The General Manager is tasked to maximize the financial performance of the hotel through an aggressive sales and marketing plan; provide the guest with excellent service; create a positive work environment for employees; and oversee the performance of all Hotel operations.

Key Responsibilities:

· Provide strategic leadership to all departments, ensuring seamless operations and exceptional guest service.

· Foster a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement among staff members.

· Develop and implement innovative strategies to drive revenue growth, occupancy rates, and profitability.

· Oversee budgeting, financial planning, and cost control initiatives to achieve financial targets.

· Maintain the highest standards of quality, cleanliness, and safety throughout the property.

· Build strong relationships with guests, partners, and stakeholders to enhance the hotel's reputation and brand presence.

· Stay abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for differentiation and improvement.

Qualifications:

· Proven experience as a General Manager or similar leadership role in the hospitality industry.

· Experience in the DC market and Independent Hotels is preferred.

· Strong business acumen with a track record of achieving operational and financial objectives.

· Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate diverse teams.

· Excellent communication and decision-making abilities, with a customer-centric mindset.

· Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field.

· Proficiency in hotel management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
