Host/Server Assistant

We are seeking a friendly, organized, and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Altea’s Eatery Hostess/Server Assistance.. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional hospitality and ensuring a positive dining experience from the moment guests arrive.

**Responsibilities:**

1. **Greet and Welcome Guests:** Warmly welcome guests as they enter the restaurant, ensuring they feel valued and appreciated.

2. **Manage Reservations:** Efficiently manage reservation bookings, seating arrangements, and waitlists to optimize table turnover and guest satisfaction.

3. **Provide Information:** Knowledgeably provide information about the restaurant's menu, specials, and promotions, as well as any current wait times.

4. **Escort Guests:** Escort guests to their tables and ensure they are comfortable while waiting, offering beverages and menus promptly.

5. **Coordinate with Servers:** Communicate effectively with servers to ensure a smooth flow of service and address any guest requests or concerns promptly.

6. **Maintain Cleanliness:** Ensure the hostess station and waiting areas are clean, organized, and presentable at all times.

7. **Handle Guest Inquiries:** Assist guests with inquiries, special requests, or complaints in a professional and courteous manner, escalating issues to management when necessary.

8. **Upsell and Promote:** Actively promote menu items, specials, and loyalty programs to enhance the guest experience and increase revenue.

9. **Collaborate with Team:** Collaborate with other restaurant staff members to uphold a positive work environment and ensure seamless operations.

**Requirements:**

1. **Previous Experience:** Prior experience in a customer service or hospitality role, preferably in a restaurant setting.

2. **Excellent Communication Skills:** Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with guests and team members.

3. **Positive Attitude:** Friendly, outgoing demeanor with a genuine passion for providing exceptional customer service.

4. **Organizational Skills:** Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and handle pressure in a fast-paced environment.
