JOB OVERVIEW
Greets guests dining in the restaurant outlets while coordinating activities of dining room personnel to provide fast and courteous service.
REPORTS TO: Restaurant Supervisor
Starting pay negotiable, based on experience.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Include the following; however, other duties may be assigned.
1. Schedules dining reservations and arranges parties or special services for diners; communicating clearly in a professional manner according to appropriate etiquette.
2. Checks menus to ensure they are current, clean, plentiful, and wrinkle-free.
3. Greets guests promptly at maître stand, escorts them to tables, and provides menus. Ensuring that the table is clean and set before seating guests.
4. Ensures place settings are appropriate and each guest has a napkin, clean silverware, and any other item that is part of the standard place setting.
5. Notify server that you have seated guests in their station.
6. Follow opening procedures each morning and leave a clean and orderly work area for the next shift.
7. Resolve and adjust complaints of guests with courtesy, respect, and patience; involve supervisors as necessary.
8. Coordinates activities of dining room personnel to ensure prompt and courteous service to guests; updates seating chart and maintains rotation schedule; arranges tables, chairs, and settings when necessary to accommodate seating for groups with special needs.
9. Fill charge vouchers.
10. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
11. Exercise care when walking on wet floors.
12. Report all job safety hazards to supervisor.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
