Title: Temporary Host/Hostess Needed

Location: Chicago/Western Suburbs

Job Type: Temporary, On-Call

We are currently seeking a dedicated and professional individual to join on as a Temporary Host/Hostess. This role is critical in providing our guests with an exceptional first impression and ensuring a memorable dining experience.

Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant
- Escort guests to their assigned tables or waiting areas
- Provide menus and inform guests about daily specials
- Answer phone calls and take reservations or provide information
- Manage the waitlist and notify guests when their table is ready
- Maintain a clean and organized host/host station
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations
- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and requests with professionalism and courtesy
- Assist with seating arrangements for large parties or special events

Experience:
- Previous experience in hospitality or customer service preferred
- Familiarity with Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus
- Knowledge of food service industry practices and standards
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations with grace and composure
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong phone etiquette and ability to handle multiple calls simultaneously
