Job Summary:
The Clement Hotel Palo Alto is seeking an enthusiastic and professional Hospitality Specialist to join their team on a part-time basis. The Hospitality Specialist will be responsible for providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere for guests and customers, as well as managing hospitality tasks. The successful candidate will serve as the initial point of contact between the hotel and the customers, and will strive to ensure excellent customer service and satisfaction.
Compensation & Benefits:
This position is offered as a part-time position at $20 per hour, paid biweekly. The Hospitality Specialist may be eligible to receive other benefits, including vacation days (based on hours worked), customer discounts, and more.
Responsibilities:
• Greets customers and guests at the front desk in a friendly and welcoming manner
• Processes guests’ registrations, reviews customer records, and handles customer inquiries and complaints as needed
• Assists customers in scheduling reservations
• Stores, updates and accurately maintains customer files
• Enters customer reservations and other data into the computer system
• Processes payments associated with guest rooms
• Receives and identifies packages delivered to the front desk
• Communications guests’ requests, complaints, or problems to appropriate personnel on the guest’s behalf such as housekeeping or engineering
• Restocks and uses all necessary supplies needed for the desk
• Assists other departments as needed
Requirements:
• High school diploma
• Previous experience in customer service, hospitality or similar roles
• Proven problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and effectively multitask
• Ability to stand and move around the front desk for extended periods of time
• Proficiency in MS Office and hotel management software
