Job description

This position is located at Coalinga State Hospital.
Plan, organize, or coordinate and administer the General Services operation at a State hospital; and do other related work.
Continuous responsibility for planning and implementing General Service's goals, objectives and activities. Develop and implement policies and procedures within the hospital and department policy and structure to achieve these goals. Establish and oversees the program's Team Building and Quality Improvement and take action based on identified problems and proposed solutions. Prepare budget estimates for General Services expenditures, and determine staffing needs and develop hospital space utilization plans.

Working Conditions
The work entails routinely encountering clients and interacting with staff throughout the facility, thus sensitivity and tolerant even temperament is required.
The employee is required to work any shift and schedule in a variety of settings throughout the hospital and may be required to work overtime and float to other work locations as determined by the operational needs of the hospital.

Department Information DSH-Coalinga opened in 2005 and began treating forensically committed patients, mostly of which are sexually violent predators. It is a self-contained psychiatric hospital constructed with a security perimeter. California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) provides perimeter security as well as transportation of patients to outside medical services and court proceedings.
