Richmond Behavioral Health (RBH) is hiring for a highly skilled and qualified Hospital Community Liaison-Clinician I/IIto join our Adult Mental Health Team. The selected individual will perform intermediate professional work providing direct clinical service to clients involving intake, assessing client needs, developing treatment plans, providing prevention services, managing cases, providing therapy, maintaining records and files, preparing reports, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the limited supervision of the assigned supervisor.
Essential Functions
Actively works to discharge clients from state facilities back to the community.
Monitors and manages an assigned caseload.
Develops and maintains administrative and clinical files; prepares various reports and case related correspondence; manages and documents all services in the client’s electronic health record by established timelines.
Participates in clinical, administrative, and supervisory meetings; collaborates with other staff members; actively participates in state hospital treatment team meetings, as scheduled.
Provides consultation, education, and preventions services; provides crisis intervention services to clients and families.
Assesses and screens clients for recommitment.
Builds and maintains relationships with key community partners (DBHDS, state facilities, other CSBs); interfaces with other services providers and client’s support system.
Acquisition of community placements and collateral contacts in the community for purposes of discharge planning; coordinates and links clients to community resources and medical services.
Provides transportation in agency vehicle for tours of potential placement in the community, during the hospital discharge of clients, and/or when deemed clinically appropriate.
Provides restoration services; attends court as needed to update the court on the client’s progress.
Attends professional conferences and trainings as required.
Education and Experience
Master’s degree with coursework in social work, counseling, psychology, or related field and moderate experience working with clients with behavioral health and developmental disabilities in a behavioral healthcare setting.
Qualifying staff will be eligible for a $4K sign-on bonus as defined by the terms and conditions of the approved sign-on bonus policy.
Special Requirements
Valid driver’s license in the Commonwealth of Virginia
CPR, CPI and Prescreener certifications
Licensed Mental Health Professional, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Clinical Psychologist, or license eligible.
