We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Hospice DON (Director of Nursing) to join our team. As the Hospice DON, you will be responsible for overseeing the nursing department and ensuring the delivery of high-quality hospice care. This is a leadership role that requires strong management skills, clinical expertise, and a passion for providing compassionate end-of-life care.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and guidance to the nursing staff, ensuring they adhere to all policies, procedures, and regulations
- Manage and coordinate all aspects of nursing care within the hospice program
- Oversee the development and implementation of patient care plans
- Conduct regular assessments of patients' needs and ensure appropriate interventions are in place
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive care for patients
- Review and evaluate documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards
- Monitor and manage staffing levels to ensure adequate coverage for patient needs
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
- Provide education and training to staff on hospice care best practices
Qualifications:
- Current RN license in [STATE] or eligible for licensure
- Minimum of [X] years of experience in nursing administration or management, preferably in a hospice or palliative care setting
- Strong knowledge of hospice regulations, policies, and procedures
