Description of role:
Home Health Registered Nurse plans, coordinates, provides and documents care for patients in compliance with applicable laws regulations and standards
Tasks:
- Performs initial and ongoing patient assessments in response to patients needs and MD orders
- Coordinate with all members of the healthcare team, including physicians appropriately and in a timely manner.
- Provides skilled nursing care within the scope of practice.
- Maintains confidentiality of patient information at all times.
- Performs various skilled nursing tasks including but not limited to patient education on disease process, administration of IV antibiotic therapy, wound care, medication management
- Educate patients and their families on proper Home Health care strategies and procedures
- Make recommendations for devices or tools that might improve the patient's quality of life
- Listen to the patient and respond to concerns or requests
Skills and requirements:
Valid Florida RN license
Current CPR card
Valid driver's license
Excellent time management skills
Ability to travel to multiple patients per day
Work schedule:
Based on caseload, office hours are Monday to Friday 8 am to 5 pm
