Home Care Pediatric Occupational Therapist

Job Description:

Marquis Certified Home Care is seeking a dedicated and experienced Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our compassionate Home Care team. As a Home Care Pediatric Occupational Therapist, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of children and their families by providing personalized and evidence-based occupational therapy services in a home setting.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct comprehensive assessments of pediatric patients to identify occupational therapy needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
2. Implement therapeutic interventions to enhance fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and overall functional independence in pediatric patients.
3. Collaborate with parents/caregivers to provide education and support, ensuring carryover of therapeutic activities in the home environment.
4. Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including physicians, nurses, and other therapists, to ensure coordinated and holistic care.
5. Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to achieve therapeutic goals.
6. Participate in team meetings and case conferences to discuss patient cases and contribute to integrated care plans.

Qualifications:

1. Current and valid Occupational Therapy license in the state of New York.
2. Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Pediatric Occupational Therapist.
3. Pediatric Certified Specialist (PCS) certification preferred.
4. Knowledge of developmental milestones, sensory processing, and various pediatric conditions.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
