Position Summary:
Plans, develops, and directs the programs, services, activities, and employees of the Agency.
Qualifications:
1. Master’s degree in nursing/public health or healthcare administration preferred with an active license to practice nursing in the State of Massachusetts and one year of supervisory experience in a program which included the care of the sick; or a BSN with an active Massachusetts license and two years’ experience in supervision in a program which included the care of the sick.
2. Five (5) years experience in positions of increasing responsibility in business, preferably in health care.
3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
4. Knowledge of the regulatory requirements at the state, federal, and local level.
5. Knowledge of business management.
Essential Functions:
1. Identifies and implements the organizational structure.
2. Plans, organizes, and directs the Agency's ongoing functions.
3. Directs and coordinates the overall development and administration of the Agency consistent with the Agency mission and available resources, and with the involvement of the Agency staff and participation of the Professional Advisory Board.
4. Provides leadership in the development of strategic long-range plans.
5. Provides direction in formulating the programs and policies.
6. Identifies the legislative, community, and third-party payer issues that impact Agency development plans.
7. Ensures compliance with federal/state regulations governing home health care services.
8. Maintains ongoing liaison between the Governing Body, the Professional Advisory Board, and the Agency staff.
9. Ensures the accuracy of public information materials and promotional activities.
10. Provides leadership in developing and maintaining data collection, recording, and reporting systems to ensure proper service, uniform accounting, data collection, and measurement of outcomes.
11. Participates in establishing and maintaining public relations and marketing programs that increase the public understanding of Home Care, foster relationships with other members of the health care community, and contributes to Agency growth.
12. Reports progress and makes recommendations to the Governing Body for future growth of all home health care services and products.
13. Ensures development of relationships and contractual agreements with third-party payers, other vendors, and the business community. Ensures compliance with contracts/agreements.
14. Participates in the hiring, orientation, and development of staff.
15. May act in the capacity of both Administrator and Supervisor of Clinical Services until the active staff exceeds 5 professional Full time Equivalents.
16. Directs daily business activities of the Agency and ensures development of systems that support recruitment, hiring and the ongoing professional development of Trinity Home Care staff.
17. Develops an annual operating budget with input from all divisions and departments. Submits budget to the Governing Body for approval.
18. Implements an effective budgeting and accounting system.
19. Prepares accurate, complete financial reports in accordance with Agency policies. Manages financial resources according to budget and revenue projections.
20. Serves on the Quality Improvement Committee.
21. Develops and distributes a written plan for the delegation of administrative responsibilities in the absence of the administrator.
Physical/Environmental Demands:
1. Requires the ability to push/pull/carry 5-20 pounds intermittently.
2. Requires the ability to communicate effectively in person and by device.
3. Requires the ability to use business equipment such as computer, phone, fax and copier on a daily basis.
4. Requires the ability to travel to off site meetings on an intermittent basis.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $95,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
