TheHistology Supervisor assists in all aspects of the laboratory's daily operations, ensuring that the laboratory runs appropriately and efficiently. T

• his role participates in the administrative and technical activities of the lab to ensure functions are uninterrupted and to ensure test results have integrity and validity.
• The Histology Supervisor performs duties related to preparing routine and special surgical specimens.
• In addition, the Histology Supervisor coordinates workflow and evaluates systems and procedures.
• This position also requires consulting with Management and the Medical Director regarding compliance with regulatory standards and changes in policies and procedures.
• This role ensures accessibility to the laboratory staff and lab members for consultation and resolves operational problems promptly.

• This role is a hybrid of administrative and technical work.

The Histology Supervisormust have the following qualifications and experience:

• NY State Clinical Laboratory License.
• Bachelor's degree in a Chemical, Physical, Biological, or Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology with at least one year of training and/or experience in an Anatomical Laboratory setting is strongly preferred;
• 1 + years of supervisory/leadership experience
