Duties:
- Provide direct support and assistance to individuals with autism, seniors, or patients in need of care
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Administer medications and monitor health conditions as directed by a nurse or healthcare professional
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding
- Provide companionship and engage in meaningful activities with clients
- Perform light housekeeping tasks such as tidying up, laundry, and cleaning
- Help clients with mobility and transfers, including lifting if necessary
- Document and report any changes in client's condition or behavior to the appropriate supervisor
Experience:
- Previous experience in caregiving or direct support roles preferred
- Familiarity with working with individuals with autism or seniors is a plus
- Knowledge of first aid and basic patient care techniques is beneficial
Skills:
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals
- Compassionate and patient demeanor when providing care to individuals in need
- Ability to follow instructions and adhere to care plans provided by nurses or healthcare professionals
- Physical stamina and strength to assist with lifting and transferring clients as needed
