Sunbelt iscurrently seeking qualified and dedicated Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA) for an exciting opportunity in the Birmingham, AL area for the upcoming school year. This is an on-site position, and the selected candidate will join a dynamic team of professionals dedicated to providing exceptional educational support.
Job Description: As a BCBA, you will play a pivotal role in assessing, developing, and implementing behavior support plans for students in the Birmingham, AL area. You will collaborate closely with educators, parents, and other professionals to create effective behavior intervention strategies. Additionally, you will monitor student progress, collect and analyze data, and ensure accurate documentation of assessments and intervention plans.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments and functional behavior assessments (FBAs) to identify students' individual needs and develop customized behavior support plans.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and professionals to design and implement effective behavior intervention strategies.
- Monitor student progress and utilize data-driven decision-making to adjust intervention plans when necessary.
- Maintain precise and organized documentation of assessments, progress reports, and behavior intervention plans.
- Work alongside multidisciplinary teams, including speech therapists, occupational therapists, and psychologists, to ensure comprehensive student support.
Qualifications:
- Must possess a valid credential as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
- Excellent understanding of behavior management techniques and functional behavior assessment procedures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster effective collaboration with students, parents, and educators.
- Proficiency in data collection and analysis to inform decision-making processes.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations, such as the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), is preferred.
- Reliable transportation to commute to the Birmingham, Alabama area, as this position requires on-site work.
