Adventist Health Clear Lake is a 25-bed, critical access hospital serving Lake, Butte & Tehama Counties with key service areas including rural health clinics that provide urgent care, behavioral health, cancer, dental, family medicine, OB/GYN, pediatrics, neurology, orthopedic and pain management to name a few.
Job Summary:
Maintains patient records, reviews for completion and assists physicians in completion of medical records. Prepares documentation for scanning and scans images to patient records. Responsible for accurate and timely entry of lab results and verifies test results before entry.
Job Requirements:
Education and Work Experience:
- High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred
- Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred
Essential Functions:
- Performs a variety of confidential clerical duties, including, ordering supplies, data entry, typing, answering phones, opening mail and photocopying.
- Monitors and assists physicians with chart completion. Accurately performs and maintains tasks for data imaging and assists with processing requests for release of information in accordance with hospital policy and federal regulation.
- Analyzes discharged patient charts to meet compliance standards for timeliness and appropriateness.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
